SUNDAY CLUB

The SUNDAY CLUB restarted Sunday 15 May with great entertainment from Mad Hatters Music Junior Choir, followed by tea/coffee & biscuits and 'New Age Sports' (kurling, bowls, boccia). However, because St Anne's Community Centre Main Hall is fully booked on future Sundays until August, the Sunday Club is taking a Summer Break and will restart in the Autumn. If you want to be contacted about the restart date, please email sundayclubgo@gmail.com.

The donation requested towards costs is still only £3 per person. As before, you need to make your own transport arrangements and if you are uncertain about whether you can participate in any ‘Sunday Club’ physical activity, please seek your doctor’s advice.

Sunday Club monthly meetings are normally, 2 pm-4 pm, in St Anne’s Community Centre, Hardwick Square West, Buxton SK16 6PX. There's often a speaker, demonstration or activity, plus time to sit and chat over tea/coffee and biscuits and try New Age Fun Sports - Indoor Kurling, Boccia and Street Bowls - when other activities allow - and board games when possible.

SUNDAY CLUB HISTORY

St Anne's Pastoral Parish Council (PPC) received funds from Foundation Derbyshire and the High Peak Wellbeing Partnership Small Grants Scheme to start a monthly 'Sunday Club' in 2019 as a great get-together opportunity for those 65 or over who find time drags on Sunday afternoons. However, after several successful meetings, the Sunday Club was suspended in March 2020 because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Now it's back! Information about its previous meetings is at SUNDAY CLUB.
