NEWS FROM CHAPEL - UKRAINIAN GUESTS
We are hoping to welcome our guests in the next few weeks. We still have Council and safeguarding checks that need completing, and DBS checks are ongoing. Thank you to everyone who has given their time and support to make this happen, including those who have cleaned and organised the house, and the Craft Group for financing towels and bedding. Going forward, we now need people to help with engaging with the council and school, have knowledge of benefits and tax, healthcare, public transport and to assist generally with acclimatisation in Chapel. Can you help? If so, please see Deacon Don.
SEE I DO A NEW THING – a workshop organised by Caritas Nottingham Diocese for anyone who wants to see the Gospel come to life in their neighbourhood and wider world. Come and see how parishes are responding to the cost of living crisis, help each other develop what comes next in your local and wider area and build support with your local Catholic hub. The one for Derbyshire will be held on Saturday 10thJune at St. Alban’s Church, Chaddesden, Derby. For further details visit bit.ly/new-thing-poster or book your place at bit.ly/new-thing or by calling Paul on 0115 6481509.
PARISH FINANCES – What strikes you most about our Parish finances report? Many people’s faithful giving? The doubling of gas prices and the trebling of electricity prices? Will you review your regular giving and increase it if possible? If you are a tax payer, please gift aid your offering; it increases your donation by 25%, at no cost to you. Gift aid and standing order forms are both available at the back of church.
BISHOP PATRICK has written a Pastoral Letter for Pentecost and it is available to read, watch, or listen to via the diocesan website. This use of digital media allows us to share the letter more widely. To access it, please visit: www.dioceseofnottingham.uk/news/pentecost-letter
TEA & COFFEE AFTER MASS TODAY in the Parish Centre. Please join us.

THE SCRIPTURE GROUP will meet this Thursday 01 June at 11:00am in the Presbytery at Chapel. They will also meet on 15th June. Everyone welcome!
If you would like to include anything in the newsletter, please ensure that we receive it by Wednesday of the week before to allow sufficient time for printing.
